Bouncy Castle Hire for Perth Schools, Fairs & Fundraisers

Castles, water slides and carnival games for school fetes, P&C fundraisers, council events, childcare centres and community days across the Perth metro area — with the insurance certificate, risk assessment and anchoring statement your approvals process actually asks for.

Booking an inflatable for a school fair is a different job from booking one for a backyard birthday, and the difference has almost nothing to do with the castle. Nobody on your committee is worried about whether the kids will enjoy it. They are worried about whether the paperwork will satisfy the principal, the insurer and — if you are on council land — the permit officer, and whether it will arrive in time for the meeting where the decision gets signed off.

That is the part we have built the business around. Every hire is anchored to Australian standards, carries $20 million public liability cover, and comes with a wind meter that stays on site so the call to pause is made on a number rather than a feeling. For a school or council booking we put all of it in writing before you commit.

We are a Perth family business, not a franchise, and the person who quotes your event is the person who sets it up on the day.

The paperwork, sorted before you commit

Four documents, supplied as standard for any school, council or community booking. You should not have to chase a hire company for these, and with us you do not.

    Certificate of currency

$20 million public liability, naming the insurer, the policy and the limit. Sent with your confirmation, or earlier for a permit application.

    Site-specific risk assessment

Written for your venue and date, covering setup area, anchoring, supervision, weather limits and evacuation. This is the document most council permits ask for.

    AS 3533.4.1 anchoring statement

How the unit is secured on the day — stakes on grass, ballast weights on hard surfaces — written against the Australian Standard rather than described over the phone.

    Wind monitoring record

The readings taken on site and the gust speed at which the unit is shut down, measured with the anemometer we leave with you rather than judged by eye.

Need these for a permit application before you can confirm the booking? Ask and we will send them up front — councils commonly want two to six weeks, so it is worth starting early.

    What every school booking includes

    • ✓Delivery, professional setup and pack-down — free within 15km of the Perth CBD, and a flat rate by distance band beyond that, confirmed in your quote rather than on the day.
    • ✓Anchoring to AS 3533.4.1 — steel ground stakes on grass, ballast weights on asphalt, pavers or limestone.
    • ✓Safety matting at the entry and exit of every unit.
    • ✓A handheld wind meter left on site for the whole event, with a written shutdown threshold.
    • ✓$20M public liability insurance, with the certificate supplied for your records.
    • ✓A handover briefing for the staff or volunteers who will be supervising, covering rider numbers, age mixing and when to stop.
    • ✓Invoicing to the school, P&C, council or group — no committee member has to put a fete on a personal card.

Want an operator on the unit?

We can supply someone to stay with the inflatable for the whole event — managing rider numbers and rotations, keeping age groups apart and watching the wind, so your volunteers are free for the sausage sizzle. Ask when you enquire and we will price it into the quote. Where you would rather supervise it yourselves, we brief your people thoroughly at handover instead.

    What we need from you

    The surface

Grass, asphalt, courts or limestone — it changes the anchoring kit we load, so tell us before the day rather than on it.

    Space and access

Roughly a metre clear around each unit for anchor lines, about a metre of gate access to wheel it through, and no low branches or overhead wires above the site.

Power, or tell us there is none

Each blower needs a standard power point within reach. Ovals and parks often have none — we bring a generator, we just need to know in advance.

    A named supervisor

Unless we are staffing the unit, one adult per inflatable who has had the handover briefing and stays with it while children are on.

Not sure whether your site works? Send a photo and rough measurements with your enquiry and we will tell you before anyone commits to anything.

    School and fundraiser hire questions

Are you insured for school and council events?

Yes. We carry $20 million public liability insurance and supply the certificate of currency with your booking confirmation, or earlier if you need it for a permit application. Most Perth councils and schools ask for it before they will approve an inflatable on site, so we send it as a matter of course rather than waiting to be asked.

Can you provide a risk assessment for our permit application?

Yes. We provide a site-specific written risk assessment covering the setup area, anchoring method, supervision, weather limits and evacuation. Tell us the venue and the date when you enquire and we will have it to you in time for your council or school submission.

How are the castles anchored on asphalt or a school court?

Ground stakes cannot be driven into asphalt, pavers or limestone, so on hard surfaces we anchor with ballast weights instead. It is a different kit and a different setup, which is why we ask what the surface is when you book rather than discovering it on the morning. We supply a written statement of how the unit is anchored against AS 3533.4.1 either way.

Will someone stay and supervise the inflatable during our event?

We can supply an operator to stay with the unit for the whole event, managing rider numbers, rotations and wind checks. Ask for it when you enquire and we will include it in the quote. Where the school supervises instead, we set up, anchor, and brief your staff or volunteers on safe operation before we leave, and come back to pack down.

What happens if it is too windy on the day of the fair?

WorkSafe WA says an inflatable should be evacuated once gusts pass the manufacturer limit — or 40km/h where no limit is set — and recommends operators measure rather than judge by eye. We check gusts on site before handover and leave a handheld wind meter with you for the whole booking, along with the reading at which everyone comes off and the unit is deflated. If conditions are unsafe before we set up, we reschedule at no cost. There is never a charge for shutting down early.

Can you invoice the school or P&C instead of taking a card?

Yes. We invoice the school, P&C, council or community group directly, with the insurance certificate attached to the confirmation. You do not need a committee member to put a fair on a personal credit card.

Can we book more than one inflatable for a fair?

Yes, and for a fete it is usually the right call — one unit becomes a bottleneck once a few hundred families are through the gate. We carry several castles plus a water slide and a 4-in-1 carnival games set, and regularly send multiple units to the same event. Tell us your expected numbers and we will suggest a mix.

How far ahead should a school book?

Further than a birthday party. Term 4 and Term 1 weekends are the busiest in Perth and the fair season clusters tightly, so lock the date in as early as your committee can. If your council permit takes two to six weeks, start the booking before the permit rather than after — we can supply the documents you need for the application.

    Tell us about your event

Send us the date, the venue, the surface and roughly how many children you expect, and we will come back with a written quote and the insurance certificate attached. If your committee needs the risk assessment and anchoring statement to approve it, say so and they will come with the quote.
